Board of Directors 

Gayla Pinkney, Founder/President
     Mrs. Pinkney has worked with youth organizations for over 23 years.  She has worked with all ages of children and youth and is particulary concerned with high school teens in our community.  Gayla wants to make sure that all our kids have equal access to education and opportunities to help them reach their full potential. 

Dayna Smith, Vice-President/ Secretary
    Ms. Smith is a 20 veteran teacher who has volunteered for many community organizations.  She has been on the board since it was founded and is a valuable resource for educational program advice.  Dayna has co-directed the very successful summer enrichment camp program for the past two years. 

Melissa Barrett, Treasurer
   
 Ms. Barrett joined Youth Activities, Inc. in 2008.  She has an extensive financial background having worked in the banking sector and in the billing deptarment of a local medical facility.  Melissa is looking forward to helping locate a new building for the youth center and starting programs agains.

Cindy Grant, Teen Program Director
    Ms. Grant was recently elected to the board.  She has two teenagers at home and has organized many youth center dances and events.  Cindy is looking forward to bringing in guest motivational speakers for our teens and volunteers. 

Debbie Queen, U12 Program Director
    
Mrs. Queen is the mother of two children under age 12.  She has many years of experiece volunteering in classrooms, youth groups, and youth sports organizations.  Debbie has been a youth center volunteer for 2 years and is looking forward to continuing to bring high quality programs and events to our younger school age children. 

Our Mission            

Youth Activities Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed exclusively to enrich the lives of local youth through the creation of a youth activity center. 

We will provide a safe, supervised, structured environment for the purpose of recreation, education and socialization.

We will promote healthy choices and anti-drug/alcohol/violence messages.

We will demonstrate good character, leadership, and citizenship.

We will offer resources regarding careers, education, community services and at-risk youth support.

We will encourage tolerance and respect for self and for others.
