Our Mission
Youth Activities Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed exclusively to enrich the lives of local youth through the creation of a youth activity center.
We will provide a safe, supervised, structured environment for the purpose of recreation, education and socialization.
We will promote healthy choices and anti-drug/alcohol/violence messages.
We will demonstrate good character, leadership, and citizenship.
We will offer resources regarding careers, education, community services and at-risk youth support.
We will encourage tolerance and respect for self and for others.

NEWS RELEASE
The youth center received an amazing donation from a local Church last week. Freeman's Creek Baptist Church, a Friends of the Youth Center Sponsor, recently gathered the congregation together to take on the 'Texas Challenge'. The Church contributed a whopping $1700 to the challenge, bringing the youth center total so far to $2150.
Having current financial needs met, youth center organizers can look a bit in to the future. If they reach their goal of $7500 the youth center will remain open through the remainder of 2008. Organizers say the funds raised will pay rent and utilities.
Other fundraisers are needed to pay for center programs. Camp participant and 5th grader, Mitchell Queen, has offered to help organize a car wash to raise money. Board members agree it is a great idea and have scheduled a car wash for June 28th at Walmart. Mitchell would like to ask that anyone interested in volunteering should please contact the youth center.
The youth center schedule for May:
Friday & Saturday Evenings - open for teens 5-10pm.
Memorial Day Parade Day- open to all school age youth 10am - 4pm.
All Month - open after school for all school age youth.
All Month - registration for summer camps and summer clubs.
For information on clubs, stop by the youth center or email us.
The youth center will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings for community teens.
The center will open 5pm-10pm.*
*These hours are dependent upon adults volunteering to open the center for those hours. We need adults to step up and volunteer for programs that benefit the youth and community.
Entrance to the youth center is $1 donation.
The youth center needs you to join the volunteer committee so that YOU get to decide events, activites, how we spend our money at the youth center.
