NEWS RELEASE
Youth Center Science Camp Next Week
The Summer Day Camp Adventure program continues next week as the Youth Center hosts Fizz! Pop! Eww! Ahh! Science Camp, July 21-25.
Campers will participate in many demonstrations and experiments in physics, geology, chemistry and biology. There will also be a week long ecology project, craft projects, a day at the park and all the fun recreational activities on hand at the youth center. Camp is open to youth ages 8-14. LCHS teen volunteers are welcome to attend and receive free lunch for helping out.
Registration will be going on at the Youth Center this Thursday, July 17, 1pm-7pm. For more information on camp and other programs please visit the website @ www.youthactivitiesinc.org, or call 439-4433.
Science Camp is the third Adventure this summer. Both Sports and Art Camps had fantastic turnouts and were tons of fun!
Art Camp finished last week. Campers were introduced to Michaelangelo and Leonardo; and we're not talking about Mutant Ninja's! We also discovered we have some very talented abstract artists in the making.
Campers adventured around town sketching many local landmarks.
Our artwork is on display at the Youth Center on Tuesday, July 15th, 1pm-7pm.
